I recently stayed at Grand Park in Kunming for a week-long vacation. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered a great variety of Chinese and Western options, and the omelets made by the manager were delicious. The location of the hotel, right across from Green Lake Park, was perfect for leisurely walks and relaxation. The room was clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and a nice bathtub. The hotel staff also helped us store some items we couldn't bring with us, which was greatly appreciated. our experience at Grand Park was excellent and we would be happy to stay here again.

Outstanding service from the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The free minibar was a pleasant surprise, with a variety of refreshing beverages. Breakfast delivered right to my door, exactly as ordered. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and attention to detail.

There was little to like about the hotel apart from the good manners of the staff at the front desk.

Terrible service for drinks in the revolving restaurant which even in 'Happy Hour' were ridiculously overpriced and where the service was almost non existent. The downstairs restaurant was scruffy and the waitress wanted a cash payment despite an adequate credit card guarantee held by the hotel.

Comfortable bed, nicely furnished, good service.

They did not answer their phone despite repeated tries. In China, answering your business phone is essential to provide directions to taxi driver. We were stuck at a remote city bus station for 30 minutes until we found someone who knew from our poor Chinese where to take us.

Our stay at the hotel was definitely worth the money. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of Yunnan University and the green lake nearby. The staff were friendly, attentive, and even helped us with mailing packages and storing our forgotten belongings.

The breakfast could have been improved with a staff member dedicated to serving hot tea during the cold winter mornings.

The hotel is located very close to Kunming's Green Lake Park and shopping and eating districts. The rooms are very comfortable, and the revolving lounge at the top of the hotel is a nice place to wind down from the day.

Near a magnificent park.On sundays echtnic chineeses gather to happily dance,sing.Somes even wear their colorfull garments.(was too lazy to get up early and watch morning activities)

A little pricy.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, and the room was spotless and comfortable. The location was fantastic, with Greenlake and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke English.

Felt like an old Soviet style hotel, very much left over from the older "communist" era of China. Rooms were very unattractive and sort of "oppressive" feeling. After two days we changed hotels and we're much relieved. We would never go back.

Location and breakfast good

Certainly not five star. Four at a push. Sauna and hot tub not working. Foul smelling and dirty changing rooms. Spa only open 10 to 3! Bar staff inattentive and rude. Mould in bathroom. Nothing critical but a disappointment when you expect something special.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We also had a nice view from the window. The breakfast offered a variety of foods, from cereals to Chinese style dishes. The hotel was located near a park, which was good for a morning walk or jog.

The staff at the reception was not very friendly and didn't seem interested in helping us. The location of the hotel was not ideal, as there were not many restaurants in the immediate area and we had to take a taxi to find some options.

The hotel is over-rated in the website. It's a 5* hotel in Chinese standard. The lobby is 4*, the guest room is 3* and the bathroom is 2*. Except for the location, not exactly a good value hotel in Kunming.

The hotel was awesome for the money. I really loved the rooms.

Yes they allowed two drunk men to be carried into the lobby from their bar or rooms and these men threw up several times and the manager didn't ask them to leave or go up to their rooms in private to be sick. When I complained the mgr said, "they are customers well get house keeping to clean it up" the men sat in the lobby for 40 throwing up. Finally I could not sit there any linger I was starting to get sick. I told the hotel manager I will find a different hotel to stay in my 4 trips a year I make there.
